Jazmine was raised and born within Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her mother Pam is a former back-up singer with Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, young, her father got an appointment as the curator for City's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family relocated to the mansion's historical site. She was a graduate in 2005 from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts in which she was the vocal music instructor.
