Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine was raised and born within Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her mother Pam is a former back-up singer with Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, young, her father got an appointment as the curator for City's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family relocated to the mansion's historical site. She was a graduate in 2005 from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts in which she was the vocal music instructor. Sullivan performed as the contralto singer for the choir for children and later, a few more years later, she performed in the adults ' choir. Sullivan received little exposure to secular music. The singer recalls she was eleven when someone requested her to sing in a solo at the church. However, she was not yet ready for. "Then McDonald's offered a competition with children of major cities.
