Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her mother was at home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick was a gifted singer and performer from a young age. She would show puppet shows to entertain her friends. When she was just 6, McCormick won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether she was keen to work in showbusiness. McCormick got her first job as a leading actress in the year 1964. McCormick was in an ad campaign for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year she was a guest on an additional company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately cast in The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the youngest daughter of the towheaded trio on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. It lasted five years. McCormick disclosed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year run on the program. The actress was just 16 years old, and the actor aged 19 at that time. It was likely that we would have a romantic couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't the right time.
